Week leading up to Christmas!!

Many moons πŸŒ•πŸŒ•πŸŒ• ago Christmas was my favorite day of the year. Okay, maybe a tie with my birthday. The feeling a child has unwrapping gifts 🎁 is pure happiness. Those days I will never forget.

Those two days continue to be very important in my life. My birthday reminds me of another year I’ve been blessed to have received by God’s grace. On my birthday I also get to celebrate my wedding anniversary. It does not get any better than that. Christmas πŸŽ„ I celebrate the birth of my savior and reflect back on what that truly means to me. Presents are truly great as they bring us temporary satisfaction and happiness. Nothing compares to Christ who brings us everlasting JOY.

In recent time my mind tells me to go for a run while my body says no. I have continued to workout but most of the time it has been at the gym.

Monday I got up and spent some time at the gym. I have to ease in a little slow since it has been while for me. Blanca and I tried a new recipe for dinner and it was delicious.

Tuesday morning I did go for a run and made a pit stop at Blanca’s work. Belle was excited to see momma.

Wednesday I stayed in and cleaned around the apartment. Some dishes needed to be washed and the floor needed to be cleaned. Before I knew it I was off to work. Later that evening Blanca met up with Wolfpack running while I went straight to IAAP training. She still made it on time for the picture.

Thursday was a rest day for the both of us. After cooking dinner we sat down to enjoy National Lampoons European Vacation. Our schedule usually allows us half a movie then bedtime.

Friday morning was routine. Blanca got up early and left for work. I got up and went downstairs with Belle to take care of business. After a short gym session I had to get ready for work. Children+ last day of school= Party time!! It’s great to see the children enjoy themselves. I don’t think children should eat that many cookies in one sitting. You know I never realized the feeling a teacher can have when they receive something from their students.

Saturday morning Blanca and I got up and went to the gym. Even though we are doing our own separate routines we are still enjoying this time together. Sometimes I see what she is doing and I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. Afterwards we visited my parents to have some breakfast and catch up. Blanca and I went to get a haircut πŸ’‡ and complete a couple of other errands. By the time we got home we had to shower and get ready for the evening game night with Blanca’s family.
